During the holidays, we're often presented with colorfully wrapped gifts, warm revelry by an open fire, and comforting embrace by family and loved ones. Too often we forget what the holidays are like for those who have none of these things. We also forget that giving and receiving gifts are privileges, and despite what we've grown to accept, not something we may all enjoy. In this Single Carrot Theatre original production, we are able to see the holidays through the eyes of the less fortunate, to whom a true gift is nothing more than waking up to see another day. Adapted for the stage from a Spanish poem by Vital Aza, La Muņeca (The Doll) brings you the story of Lucia, a young girl on Christmas Eve who has nothing more to give than herself.
